There is no such thing as the Southeastern Arizona Melittological Institute, really. I'm just modeling my career as an independent researcher on that of Jack Neff, who publishes from the "Central Texas Melittological Institute." We know each other a bit because we both work on solitary bees. I told him of my new "affiliation" and assured him that it was an homage, not a ripoff. He replied, No problem -- maybe we can form a consortium!" I love it!
